who would have thought that polonius, in hamlet, would have a message for today's world leaders... and for us, of course.
still, shakespeare has survived the test of time simply because his words still have meaning for us now.

this is from hamlet act one, scene three ... as polonius sends his son laertes off on a long voyage.

'neither a borrower nor a lender be,
for loan oft loses both itself and friend,
and borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry (economy).
this above all - to thine own self be true,
and it must follow, as the night the day,
thou canst not then be false to any man.'

sounds like very good advice!
