the dreaded moment arrived last night.
i was on stage, coming to the end of longish monologue, and my mind went blank.
i just could not remember my next line.
no prompter, no-one else on stage...
all i could recall was the first two words of the next sentence, nothing beyond it.
i realised i couldn't stand there for ever, so i had no choice other than to say the two words, and then everything else came back and
i was word perfect again, right to the end.
blimey!
that was scary!
just shows what a marvellous computer the brain is, though (yes, even mine!)

A nasty moment, I'd imagine. I'd try and remember that the audience hasn't got a script - but that's not much consolation if you can't move or speak!
